Stuart, Florida has a rich fishing history
in the early days, Stuart was a little village where residents made thier living growing mangos, pineapples, or net fishing.
With the advent of commercial fishing boats and tourism, Stuart became known as the "Sailsh Capital of the World". Through the combined efforts of the the early captains, anglers, boat builders, and the Stuart Sailfish Club, Stuart has evolved into a well known, if not famous, sportfishing destination.
Allied Marine in Stuart is the home port of the Duchess and Captain Billy Black. The Allied Marine dock, located at the northwest end of the Roosevelt Bridge, is a well protected marina on the St. Lucie River.
Duchess charters originate here, and after a short run, lines are in the Gulfsteam waters for an exciting day of fishing on the Atlantic Ocean.
In addition to offshore charters, Captain Billy offers back country fishing on his 23' Dusky open fisherman the "Honey Dew".
